Ina Island

Ina Island is an island in or near The Summerland Group, southwest (upriver) of Summerland Island, in the Town of Alexandria, Jefferson County, New York. It covers about 0.8 hectares (2.0 acres), with 0.5 km (0.3 mi) of shoreline, and rises to 83 m (273 ft) above sea level.
Ina Island was originally named Venus Island by Captain William Fitzwilliam Owen in 1816. Samuel A. Briggs bought the island in 1871 and named it for his wife, Ina Bessie Briggs; Emma Hagen bought it in 1896.
