Stave Island is an island in The Navy Group, in the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands, United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, Ontario. It is also known as Big Stave and Sir James. It covers about 71.2 hectares (175.9 acres), with 7.0 km (4.4 mi) of shoreline, and rises to 100 m (330 ft) above sea level. The name was officially adopted on 1950-04-06.
