White Calf, Big, Island

Big White Calf Island, also known as "White Calf", is an island in the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands, United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, Ontario. It covers 0.5 hectares (1.3 acres), has a shoreline of 0.3 km (0.2 mi) and rises to 78 m (255 ft) above sea level. The name was officially adopted in 1974.
Big White Calf Island was acquired from the Crown in 1898 by Dr. Edward Atkinson of Gananoque, who had its main house designed by the architect Frank Lent.
